The kitchen isn't what distinguishes this restaurant from the gastronomic stage in L.A. It is a mixture of traditional architecture and typical Hollywood stories that make the best of Musso & Frank. It was one of the favourite places of Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. If it is not so frequented by stars, it remains in memories as an old Hollywood institution. Cocktails are also a good argument for coming here. You are discouraged from tasting vegetables or talking with old servers; on the other hand, let's go to the bar where you will certainly enjoy more.

This place is great experience eveytime. However it used to be better when they would have large french double cut lamb chops that were cooked to perfection. They were the best i have ever had. Everyone I have gone with has said the same. They need to bring them back,

I was honestly expecting a tourist trap, bad food, rushed service. Boy was I wrong! This was the best meal we had in LA and honestly the best prime rib I have had in ages, if not ever. They know how to cook meat. They understand it needs to be thick and succulent to get a proper cook. The onion soup was perfect. The lamb chops, which we were lucky to get, were cooked beautifully medium rare with mint jelly and a mint peppercorn sauce. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. My mother was very interested in the old Hollywood feel and he was able to give her tidbits about several stars of interest. The ambiance is perfect. I highly recommend a visit here. Especially if you are looking for meat and/or hard to find items on a menu.

Hemos cenado estupendamente. La comida excelente. La única "pega" es que el restaurante no pudiera contactar con un taxi, nos quedamos sin coche... Volvimos andando a casa ????

One of the oldest restaurants in LA, and the legend is palpable as you walk in. Service is excellent. Food is fine. Some desserts were great, others fine. Expensive. Worth it once for the experience.

Walked into a time warp. Arrived a little early and headed to the bar. It was 3 deep, to get a drink, but was served in a few minutes.
Was taken to the table, and greeted by the waiter, ordered the Baked Escargot appetizer, when they arrived, informed him that we were in no hurry to order dinner.
After enjoying the Escargot, we ordered dinner. I had the Scallops and a baked potato, my bride only wanted the French Onion soup, ( she don't eat much....LOL)
Everything was delicious, She raved it was the best French Onion soup she has had.
I can't think of changing anything. The ambiance, the atmosphere, and a very attentive waiter. Our next time in LA, this is a place we will be back to.
