To feel Asian influence in Downtown, nothing like a meal at Orochon Ramen. Ramen is one of the most popular Japanese dishes, consisting of meat or fish pasta broth, seasoned with miso or soy sauce. It's delicious and cheap here. But what makes most of the success of this restaurant is its famous Orochon bowl challenge: A competition that rewards the one who will manage to eat the most spicy ramen in the world!

Good ramen, but the service was not great. They got more than half of our tables orders wrong, and our main waitress was not so friendly. She did not personally distribute our drinks, but instead she asked us to pass them down to one another. However, another waitress took the time and effort to go around the table to serve us our missing drink.

My friend and I spend our afternoon at Orochon Ramen and we were blown away by their gyoza, it was not dry at all! We ordered a second helping and a side of takoyaki it was incredibly savory. My ramen was built to perfection as I choose the soy sauce broth as the base, it already had cha-shu, hard boiled egg, bell peppers, with extra tofu pieces. Not at all salty and the medium impact spice ignited my tastes buds.

The experience was very bad due to the fact that the manager with grey hair and an accent told me we cannot drink outside drinks even if they were the exact same because they want us to buy theirs I had to leave and come back to drink my drink and eat my food I personally think he was being racist towards me because I’m Iranian he didn’t do that to anyone else

Ramen was like $15.50 and came with a couple toppings, not including some of the classic ones like an egg, charsiu slice, seaweed. You had to add those extra ones, almost all of which costed over a dollar each. The ramen wasn’t really decorated like one would normally expect either; the toppings were sunken under the noodles for some reason. It was pretty good overall though and the portions were very big.
Not the most spacious place but it was quaint. Bathroom was kinda weirdly located.
