THE ECO-VILLAGE OF ENAMINO
A simple, charming camp, ideal for families or couples
A simple, charming camp, deliberately small in size for a better approach to the animals. The buildings, made from local materials, blend into the environment between ocean and forest. It's an ideal place for families or couples. The welcome is simple, but the atmosphere is friendly, even family-like! The managers organize safaris on foot, by boat or 4x4, in and around Loango Park, as well as sport fishing trips for enthusiasts. An exceptional nature experience!

Unforgettable to me are not only the days, but also the evenings. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were good, especially since you have to keep in mind, that you are out in the middle of nowhere and supplies come from far away. The food is well cooked, the water fresh and suitable for "white people", cold beers and sodas were always available. We had not a single tummy-problem during our stay!
I can only recommend going there as soon as possible, because you never know how long camps like this will be around and how long nature will be as wild and untouched as it still is at Enamino. I will come back and this time take my girlfriend along!
Salutations a vous,Philippe ,Paul,Marielle ,Christelle,Roland le chauffeur,Kiki le singe et aux adorables chiens.

We were picked up in Port Gentil by a very friendly english speaking driver and were taken to Enamino, which is like a 2.5 to 3 hr trip south. Upon arrival at Enamino, we were greeted by Phil, Paul and the small numbered very friendly staff of the Eco Lodge.
Enamino is a self-built (by Phil, the owner) camp situated on a little cliff at the most beautiful coastline I have ever seen in Africa. The whole camp is built as locals would have built it and blends into the landscape seemlessly. The place is so beautiful, that I had to cry when leaving,
The camp itself is very basic (no fluent water, but plenty of fresh rain water for showering etc), electricity is only available, when the generator is on. The rooms are clean, so are the shower and toilett facilities. When booking this place, you have to know what it means to stay at an Eco Lodge in such a remote place in the rain forrest. Eco Lodge means that the impact on the environment is kept at a minimum. Almost everything in camp comes from the area and the camp itself was built with hard work by Phil himself. Being in the rainforrest and near the equator, everything is very humid and it shows on buildings, rooms and their interiour. Going there (in my opinion) means that you are up for a basic stay, but advantoures times: I had been self-drive overlanding in Botswana , been to Mozambique and Simbabwe and LOVE trips like this.
