FOLK MUSEUM
Small museum housing a collection of objects used in Naxos from the 18th to the 20th century.
Created in 2009 in a former renovated house, this pleasant little museum houses a collection of objects used in Naxos between the 18th and 20th centuries collected by the creators of the place, Vassilis and Catherine Koutelieris, since 1975: ceramic jugs, crockery, oil lamps, ex-voto, utensils for making bread, traditional festive costumes, musical instruments like the gida (local bagpipes), etc. The museum also exhibits works by the Swiss photographer Frédéric Boissonnas (1858-1946) created in Naxos in 1919.
