Protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral, this wetland forms a lagoon of 255 hectares. This exceptional natural environment is home to 217 species of birds, out of the 355 recorded in the department. Most of them are migratory and can be observed at close range, such as the pink flamingos, the egret, the white heron and the grey heron, present on the water. An interpretation trail, an observatory and a hiking trail connected to the massif of the small Maures and to the coastal trail constitute an ideal place for nature observation.
