Restaurant in a pretty pedestrian street in Chalon-sur-Saône, fine seasonal dishes and late service.
A local institution, Chai Alter Ego, created by Luc Menier over ten years ago, stands out in the ambiance of a building in the historic heart of Chalon. The décor has been reworked in wood and iron tones, the nooks and crannies are illuminated by giant wall photos, and the wine list is a showcase cellar. The suggestions on the slate are regularly renewed, and some are unmissable, like the organic eggs poached in white wine and chorizo leeks, or the Charolais burger with smoked tomato and tarragon sauce. You can come late, we still take orders.
