LE ROUGE ET LE VERRE
Johana Rodrigues and Michaël Oyhanondo left their country for the Helvetii for four years before returning home. They are catering professionals: hotel school and a few lovely Perigordian restaurant. Michaël at Tour des Vents, Johana at L'Essentiel in Périgueux, both at Table du Marché and at Opiniêtre. She is in charge of the cuisine, he is at the service but the menu is elaborated together. A short menu made from fresh market products, which changes very regularly. The cuisine is fashionable with a bistro and inventive menu. The rolls of smoked salmon, fresh lemon cheese with dill and ceps in pastry case is a beautiful as a starter. Then a hamburger of the chef and homemade French fries. For dessert, Thai milk rice, coconut and mango milk, an association full of promises. The decoration is of course predominantly red in a bistro spirit that works well with the concept, especially as the address has st up a wine bar with a hundred references, mainly natural wines (South-West wines, Bordeaux, Côtes-du-Rhône, etc.) that can be taken or tasted on the spot with some tapas. Outside, the large terrace is a serious plus.
