CHÂTEAU DE BEYNAC
One of the most impressive castles of the Périgord. Majestic, its situation remains vertiginous and its panorama exceptional.
This incredible medieval fortress, planted on a blond cliff, towers over the Dordogne at over 150 metres. A real movie set! Your tour of the château will take you from the 12th-century keep to the majestic Salle des États, ending at the top of the Tour de l'Éperon, where you'll dominate the valley as the Beynacs did, to whom the building belonged for almost 1,000 years. From here, the view over the valley of the five castles is superb! On leaving the château, take a look at the church, whose seigneurial lodge is open to the public.

Je vous conseille de visiter également le chateau de Castelnaud. Les deux chateaux de Beynac et Castelnaud étaient ennemis durant la guerre de 100 ans, les deux visites sont donc complémentaires.
