MOULIN DE COUGNAGUET
This mill, located in a green area of the village of Calès, is still used to make flour
Nestled in a green setting in Calès, the Cougnaguet mill continues to produce flour as it has done since it was built in the 14th century by Cistercian monks from the Alix abbey, not far from Rocamadour. This water mill, located on the Ouysse river before it flows into the Dordogne, was classified as a historic monument in 1925. Today, Hubert invites you to discover the mill and explain how it works. Watching the huge millstone turn under the sheer force of water is an impressive experience.
