The medieval city of Rhodes

The Dodecanese's main island retains an unparalleled medieval heritage, particularly in the city of Rhodes-ville. The Knights of St. John shaped the face of the walled city: to see for yourself, take the Rue des Chevaliers and stop off for a visit to the Grand Master's Palace, the finest architectural example of this era. Then visit the former hospital, now home to the Archaeological Museum. The medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is well worth a full day's visit.

Ottoman city and old Jewish quarter

It is the Ottoman alleys of Rhodes city that will hold your attention on thissecond day: in the old city, the district called "Bourgos" offers a striking testimony with its mosque Soliman the Magnificent, its library or its baths. The old Jewish quarter(Juderia) can also be visited from Martyron Evreon square; the Jewish Museum of Rhodes in the beautiful synagogue reminds us of the importance of the Jewish community before the tragedy of the Second World War.

Mandraki and Lindos

To discover the new town of Rhodes, what better way than to explore the area around the port of Mandraki (old port).
Here you'll see the hallmarks of Italian architecture and can take a break on a sunny beach. Don't forget to spend half a day in the magnificent village of Lindos, where the acropolis is undoubtedly the highlight. The beaches surrounding the village are another strong argument in favor of this excursion.

Discovery of Symi

The small pearl of the Dodecanese is reached in only 1 hour by boat from Rhodes. We discover the neoclassical architecture of the port of Gialos and we go up in the old town and the white streets of Chora for a breathtaking view of the port.

From the port of Livadia, travel around Tilos in a shared minibus to support the nature conservation efforts of this pioneering island. While the island of Kos is saturated with mass tourism, it's well worth a visit for its ancient sites, foremost among which is theAsclepieion, where the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, taught and practiced. In Kos-ville, you can also discover the ancient agora and the Greco-Roman quarter, including the Casa Romana.

Assaulting the Nissiros volcano
Steps: Nikia
Join a day trip to the island of Nissiros from the port of Kardamena, south of Kos. The crossing takes around 1 hour. On site, climb the volcano 's caldera for a breathtaking view from the pretty village of Nikia and visit the volcanological museum before descending to the bottom of the active crater.
Discovering Kalymnos
From Kos, it's a 35-minute catamaran crossing to Pothia, the port of Kalymnos. This island is known to all Greeks as the island of the sponge fishermen. Sincere and charming, it's an invitation to laze on the beautiful beaches of the west coast or take part in sporting activities to discover its unique nature (diving or climbing).
Kalymnos and Telendos

Take a day to explore the whole island, especially the northern route fromEmporios to Vathi. If you still have time, take a short trip to the islet of Telendos, off the west coast.
Patmos, the island of the Apocalypse

From Kalymnos, it's a 1h40-minute catamaran crossing to Skala, the port of Patmos. The island of St. John's Revelation will enchant you: visit the monastery of St. John the Theologian and the Grotto of the Apocalypse, both Unesco World Heritage sites, stroll through the whitewashed alleys of the upper town and the lively streets of Skala.

Excursion to an island
Take a day trip to one of the surrounding islets like Arki or to discover Lipsi. This small island can be visited from Patmos in one day or more if you are interested (count 45 min crossing). You can eat well, live at the rhythm of the locals and the beaches are splendid.
