Arrival in Rwanda

Welcome to Rwanda!
After clearing immigration, your driver shall be waiting for you. Transfer to your accommodation.
A day to prepare for your adventure
Steps: Kigali
At 9AM, an Earth Wanderer employee will meet your at your hotel and deliver your vehicle.
We shall go through your program and provide you with all the required information and documentations.
Rest of the day to discover Kigali.
En route to Nyungwe
Steps: Parc National De Nyungwe
Today, early set off (7AM recommended time) to allow for a relaxing journey to Nyungwe National Park.
The road takes time as it winds through the Rwandan countryside.
We recommend you to stop by the King's Palace in Nyanza and the Museum of Ethnography in Butare / Huye.
You can also stop in Butare for lunch before continuing towards Nyungwe National Park
Chimpanzee Day!
Steps: Parc National De Nyungwe
Around 4.30AM you will leave your lodge in search for chimpanzees. The drive to the starting point takes around 45-60 minutes.
After an exciting journey, you will head back to the lodge for a warm lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will head back to the forest to take part in the canopy walk experience.
Discovering Lake Kivu
Steps: Kibuye Karongi
After a well deserved relaxing morning. you will head to Kibuye after lunch.
Enjoy a wonderful evening overlooking Lake Kivu.

En route to the volcanoes
Steps: Parc National Des Volcans
It's time to head for the majestic Virunga volcanic chain!
You'll leave Kibuye after breakfast for Musanze.
You'll have the afternoon to explore Musanze and visit the small (but interesting) Dian Fossey Museum or the new Elen de Generes Campus
Gorilla Day!
Steps: Parc National Des Volcans
Today is the big day! You will finally have the chance to see the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat! This activity starts at 08.00AM but you shall leave your lodge around 7.00AM in order to be at the park's headquarters in time for your briefing. Freshly brewed Rwandan coffee is available free of charge whilst you wait.
Another day at the edge of the volcanoes
Steps: Parc National Des Volcans
Today, you'll have the opportunity to follow the golden monkeys.
Easier than gorilla tracking, this activity lets you get up close and personal with these adorable primates.
Many other activities are possible around Volcanoes NP if you'd rather hike a volcano than see the golden monkeys.
Off to the bush!
Steps: Parc National De L'Akagera
After your breakfast it will be time to leave the volcanoes and drive towards the African savannah!
A day in the bush!
Steps: Parc National De L'Akagera
A full day to discover the Akagera National Park. Game drive are a must!
We strongly suggest hiring a park ranger for the day for the best chances to find wildlife.
Time to say goodbye!
Steps: Kigali
After a last game drive in the morning, it will be time to drive back to Kigali.
We shall meet you at the airport to collect the car.
