CHATEAU DE FIRBEIX
Immediately after the bridge of Firbeix, the Dronne reflects this castle which was property of Chapt de Rastignac, then passed to Pérusse des Cars and Lamosnerie. The building was partly destroyed in 1581 following the quarrels of the League. There remains only a vast dwelling between 2 pavilions and an alley of cedars. It probably dates from the 13th or 14th century and was called the castle of Lamosnerie. Inside the tower, you can see a round cobblestone floor and under the large stone staircase, engraved coats of arms, in the centre that of the Arlot de Firbeix family. In the park, three magnificent giant araucarias.
