MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF MEDICINE - HOTEL DIEU
Hotel presenting the history of medicine, with dental surgeries, hospital room, exhibition of clothing and cult objects
In 1669, the Marquis de Hautefort founded the Hôtel-Dieu in the same style as the château. This historic monument features a 17th-century common room, one of the first dental surgeries, a former hospital ward, and an exhibition of 19th-century liturgical vestments and objects of worship. The museum boasts over 6,500 instruments and objects relating to the history of medicine. Summer events and a thematic exhibition complete the museum's program of discoveries.
