BASTIDE DE MOLIERES
This bastide, founded by the English, boasts a fortified castle with a dungeon-tower: the ruins are listed as Historic Monuments.
This bastide, founded by the English in 1284, was never completed, so it has only one corner house. Nevertheless, Molières has a charm all of its own and is well worth a visit. Its small Gothic church is a little out of the way, but well worth a visit. As for the fortified castle, all that remains is a tower in the form of a dungeon, essentially built at the same time as the bastide (it was used as a prison at the time), and a fortified enclosure with a parapet walk, forming a 50 m square. Its ruins are protected as a Monument Historique.
