Opening time and information on RESTAURANT CAPELO
Open all year round. Monday and Wednesday to Saturday lunchtimes; Thursday to Saturday evenings. Reservations recommended. Single menu at 35 € (all duck menu). Children's menu: €12 (under 12s. Croque-Monsieur with duck and chocolate fondant). Formula: €19.50 (starter/main course or main course/dessert). Wine by the glass. Groups welcome (by reservation). Terrace. Takeaway sales. Home-made canned duck rillettes (100% duck) and home-made Capelo pâté (foie gras and pork meat).
Owner's Message
After apprenticeships in several gourmet restaurants in the Dordogne, 23-year-old chef Angel Morales opened his own duck restaurant in Périgueux. Capélo is a family affair: it was the nickname of his grandfather, who passed on his passion for cooking from an early age.
Capélo's menu follows the seasons, using fresh local produce, and everything is homemade! The chef revisits traditional dishes with a touch of originality, proposing an Tout Canard menu and a menu based on this noble bird, but not only! He also offers a chef's menu that changes every Friday with simplified and diversified dishes.
You'll find a young, dynamic team on hand to welcome you from Monday to Saturday in a warm, cosy setting, with a small terrace in summer.
