A greenway with rest and play areas, signposts and information panels along the route.
This Green Way, open to pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers and people in wheelchairs, allows you to cross the whole town in perfect continuity, thanks to 4 footbridges over the river, and to the facilities under the bridges. Here, we didn't wait for scooters to become fashionable again to encourage soft modes of transport: we move along the Isle, including at night now that the lighting is working. Rest areas and playgrounds are available and you can move from one bank to the other via a set of footbridges that have already had to be renovated, as they have been used for 20 years, like the one near the fire station. Beacons and information panels punctuate the itinerary and provide information on the landscapes and historical sites crossed. Used by hikers and cycle tourists, the Voie Verte remains one of the favourite places for a family outing for a breath of fresh air, with a picnic break. Along this green axis, there is a blue route for canoeists with its 11 passes and 12 launching points on a 21 km route from Trélissac to Marsac, with 4 stopping places with toilets and water points. The urban Greenway, which has received a European Greenway Award, has already been extended at both ends. In 2017, it became a section of a larger regional cycle route, the Viaelia (V90 cycle route) which links Le Pizou on the edge of the Gironde department to Marsac-sur-l'Isle (104 km).
