This street, lined with beautiful Renaissance hotels and numerous boutiques, is the shopping artery of the historic center.
Rue Limogeanne is the main shopping street in Périgueux's historic center, lined with beautiful Renaissance hotels and numerous boutiques. Pause in front of Hôtel Méredieu (12), Maison Estignard (5) or Maison Lapeyre (corner of Place du Coderc), remarkable for its corbelled polygonal corner turret. At 7, note the initials of Antoine Courtois, who exported his partridge pâtés to the Prussian court in the 18th century. This street is also on the Chemin de Compostelle, and is dotted with golden shells on the ground.
