Saint-Aulaye is truly an expert of pastel inspired by Jean Callerot who put many efforts to master this technique since then this family has more than 1,000 creations, all unique. His masterpieces are based on landscapes of the forest of Double as well as still lives and naked ones. By visiting Musée du Pastel you will have the opportunity to discover a permanent exhibition where you can see paintings acquired by the municipality, a temporary exhibition of French and foreign artists as well as procreations of works of universally known artists. A film projection concerning the manufacturing of Girault pastels is also displayed.
