A new castle to discover.
The visit of this castle, perched on a rock, will make the happiness of the lovers of the old stones, as it does for its owners since 2006. They have taken on the difficult task of reviving this castrum of great interest: it was one of the gateways to southern Périgord. Gradually, the remains of the noble houses, chapel and keep reappear, cleared of earth and fill. The 15th century dwelling, with its stair tower, is being restored. Guided tours are offered in summer (see the website).

L'autoguide papier est habilement réalisé et l'état d'esprit qui règne sur la visite en générale, est très sympathique...
Nous avons eu le bonheur de pouvoir converser avec les propriétaires en fin de visite et ces derniers ont eu la délicatesse de répondre aux questions que l'on se pose à l'issue d'un tel parcours...et elles sont vraiment très nombreuses !!!!
La tâche de restauration est immense mais on ne peut que saluer un tel projet....un peu fou (un peu de folie de nos jours est bien agréable n'est ce pas ?)
