MANOIR DE GISSON
An important historical house for the city of Sarlat. A former mansion where you can appreciate the architecture of the time.
The only private mansion open to visitors, the Manoir de Gisson (named after the family that occupied it in the 18th century) is composed of two buildings connected to each other by a hexagonal tower housing a spiral staircase. With its mullioned windows, its very singular ternate bay surmounted by two oculi, it is used as a setting for the Theater Festival which takes place in summer. Come and dive into the history and daily life of the Sarlatan nobility! From the terrace, you can even admire the old church of Saint Mary, now a covered market.
