MAISON DU PATRIMOINE
Maison du patrimoine in Terrasson-Lavilledieu, where the first floor is devoted to the town's history.
The former chapel of the convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Saviour, located a stone's throw from the church of Saint-Sour, has become a centre for the interpretation of the heritage of the Périgord Noir. On the ground floor, dedicated to the history of the town, the museum allows you to go back in time, from prehistory to the present day. There are models, the mosaic of Gaubert of the 3rd century and restored by the workshops of the Socra in Perigueux from an ancient Gallo-Roman villa. You can also see the Merovingian bell of Lavilledieu and the letters of the conventionnal Bouquier.
