This noble lair, classified as a historical monument, set into the cliff, overhanging the Vézère, allowed the ford to be watched over. Our ancestors already occupied the site 20,000 years ago, then a refuge was built in the rock with underground and overhead rooms and finally a castle with a hall of honour, a weapons room, a bedroom, a lounge, a chapel... and also a dungeon and a dungeon.
