Castle with a remarkable defense system, with a flamboyant Gothic chapel and Napoleonic souvenirs unique in Périgord
Seat of one of the four baronies of the Périgord, the 12th and 15th century castle with its remarkable defence system was the property of the de Talleyrand family. Nevertheless demolished by the Hundred Years' War, burnt down by the Wars of Religion, this castle has been restored many times. The dwellings, joined by a 15th century keep, have Louis XV furniture. The flamboyant gothic chapel (by appointment), has a beautiful fireplace. You will discover Napoleonic souvenirs unique in Périgord. A slightly anachronistic fortress, but full of charm!

De plus, ce sont les propriétaires qui nous faisaient la visite et ils ont passé leur temps à se chamailler. Une dame a fini par leur faire remarquer que nous n'étions pas venu pour ça.
Et lorsque j'ai voulu bénéficier du tarif étudiant, on m'a annoncé un tarif différent (supérieur) à celui affiché à l'entrée. Pas très commerçant tout ça !!
