On the Cap Ferret peninsula next to the lighthouse, it's a long beach of fine sand and no waves. A magical place.
A beach? No, a postcard setting! At the foot of the lighthouse, this beach offers a superb panorama of the Dune du Pilat and the Conche du Mimbeau; a small spit of sand only accessible on foot when the water recedes. The Plage du Phare is a great place to spend a day with the family. During the summer season, a hut offers stand-up paddle rentals for adventures on the basin, as well as ice creams and sodas. This is one of Cap Ferret's most beautiful beaches. The oyster-farming district lies just to the south of the beach.
