You may just visit the vineyard to sip a glass of wine with the famous rugby prop forward. "La cuvée des Aspres" vintages are fleshy, crunchy, well-structured and fixed in a velvet glove. Picpoul white and black vintages which you may take all year to delight your taste buds are original and tasty, coming from its 100-year-old vineyard. Old grape varieties like Alicante or Aramon cannot be called country wines. Do not hesitate to try "Les Mal-aimés" vintages; this black picpoul wine may surprise you. "Bad vintages do not exist, we only have bad winemakers," says M. Aspres.
