Among the 250 or so producers of Blanquette de Limoux, Maison Guinot is an estate worth mentioning for its friendly, human-scale approach. Since 1875, blanquette has been produced by hand in a family-run business, with bottling on site and manual riddling of 30,000 bottles daily. During the 45-minute "Bulles et Lumière" tour, you'll discover the cellars and all the stages involved in making this sparkling wine. The tour is completed by a 3D video, and your visit ends appropriately with a tasting.

The most wonderful tour, an amazing experience. Michel is brilliant at creating magic in his caves, it was a pleasure to get to learn about the complete process in creating their delicious sparking wines. Thank you also to his amazing team leading us through many tastings. Everyone’s English was superb, wish I could fill my suitcase back to Australia with Cremant! À bientôt et merci

Stopped in to purchase a bottle of Blanquette de Limoux and the Owner was just about to start a tour of the cave. The process of assembling the wine for the Crèment and fermenting both the Crémant and the Blanquette (a single grape), is complicated and time consuming and M. Guinot explains the steps involved to arrive at the final product; it was very interesting.
At the end we tasted several and had an opportunity to purchase product. Just over an hour and well worth it!
