CHÂTEAU FRANC MAYNE
Located a few steps from Saint-Emilion, Château Franc Mayne, taken over by the Savare family, invites you to discover the secret of making a Grand Cru Classé. On a clay-limestone soil, you will walk through its 7 hectares of vines leaning against the Côte de Franc, its wooden and stainless steel vat room and its barrel cellar. You will then enter the 2 hectares of underground quarries, a place where the wines are matured, but also full of history and tradition. From the 2019 vintage, the grape varieties are 100% Merlot and organic. The vine, which is about twenty years old, is cultivated following a reasoned fight; the horse as the master of the vine. At Château Franc Mayne, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. On the shop side, you will find old vintages and Grands Crus classés as well as references from Château Paloumey (Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc).
