DOMAINE DE CAZABAN
In 2006, Clément and Claire Mengus came to settle down at Domaine de Cabezan with this philosophy in mind "Serving the land rather than using it, we are artisan wine growers". Working the land in a way as natural as possible is their course of action. As a passionate young wine grower, Clément is currently cultivating 10 ha of vineyards - in organic farming - spread over the 15 ha estate. The grape planting of the vineyard consists of syrah, merlot, cabernet franc and sauvignon, malbec and grenache. The syrah and merlot vines are aged about thirty years old while the rest was planted in 2007. The result is nice red wines of a pleasant freshness such as the "Demoiselle Claire" which develops aromas of red and ripe fruit, the Domaine de Cazaban, intense, dense, taut and deep in flavors and also the rosé Hors-Séries n°1 with bright color and with citrus fruit aromas. They generously share their passion and open their cellar to visits and tastings. And why not stay in one of their holiday cottages where old stones and design blend perfectly? D not hesitate to contact us.
