The Chamber of Agriculture is the spokesperson for agriculture and the rural world. As such, it is consulted by public authorities. It defends the interests of the profession with local, national and community public authorities and other partners involved in agricultural policy or regional planning. Its mission is to get to know the island's farms in order to optimise their results, enhance the value of agricultural land, help young people to set up, run programmes aimed at reducing the use of plant protection products, and offer training to farmers (existing or undergoing conversion) on a wide range of topics: accounting, agritourism, water management, agro-ecology, market gardening and food crops, etc
