L'ÉGLISE DE LA FORÊT
Church with an imposing stone roof which rests directly on the vault of the building in Castels and Bézenac.
Very popular with the locals, Redon-Espic is almost a secret. You will reach it by a small road through the woods and you will be struck by the serenity and the plenitude that reign in this place. Nicknamed "the church of the forest", it dates from the 12th century and is a former priory. Transformed into a stable in the 19th century, its restoration would be linked to an apparition of the Virgin in 1814. You will admire the imposing stone roof (lauzes) which rests directly on the vault of the building and, inside, the vestiges of paintings dating from the construction.
