Rooms dedicated to the masters of painting, Klimt, Dali, Mondrian... Well-being and relaxation in a quiet and green setting.

This place nestled in a 2 hectare park with century-old trees built in the 15th century was a favorite for its owners who offer calm and voluptuousness in a contemporary design with sober lines. Upstairs, 4 bedrooms with very distinct atmospheres: red, Zen in black and white, Ethnic warm and woody tones, Klimt white and gold. On the ground floor, Dali. In the basement, great luxury for the spa, whirlpool bath, hammam and fitness room. The outdoor swimming pool, heated in season, allows you to enjoy the peace and quiet. Children over 12 years old are welcome.

Chateau Maraval in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne region of France is a wonderfully restored chateau sitting in extensive grounds with a gorgeous swimming pool that we virtually had to ourselves most of the time during our 3 night stay. The temperature of the water was usually in the range of 26-28 degrees - so a pleasant temperature for a nice swim on a sunny day. The restoration of the chateau is in a unique minimalistic style with no expense spared. Currently only a four bedroom bed and breakfast hotel the restoration is striking and stunning in its recreation. Breakfast is delicious with cereals, fruit, bread, cheese, meets and home made jams to choose from. Our hosts the owners Ann-Marie and Thierry Sponne cooked us fresh eggs in a style of our choice. When you are next visiting the Dordogne be sure to include Chateau Maraval in one of your stays.

Nous avons reçu en cadeau 3 nuits dans ce château magnifique, rénové avec goût et très bien entretenu.
Anne-Marie et Thierry vous accueillent avec bienveillance et font que l'on se sent comme à la maison !
Ils vous conseillent sur les lieux à visiter et les restaurants qui valent le coup.
Le petit-déjeuner est extra, on se souviendra longtemps du Kouign-amann revisité avec brillo :) Sans oublier toutes ses petites attentions quotidiennes qui font qu'après une bonne journée de visite, on a hâte de rentrer au château!
Bref, on vous le conseille à 200%

Fantastique séjour de 4 nuits au château de Maraval. Anne-Marie et Thierry font tout pour vous faire passer le meilleur séjour possible tout en restant le plus discret possible. Chambre (Klimt) très confortable et installations au top (hammam, jacuzzi, fitness, et piscine extérieure). Les petits déjeuners sont très bons (mention spéciale aux pâtisseries maison chaque jour) et les petites attentions tout au long de la journée fort appréciables (boissons fraîches et cafés à disposition).
