How to get there - Le Lamentin
Arrival in Martinique
Steps: Le Lamentin
You'll arrive at the airport of Lamentin. You'll perhaps be exhausted by the journey, and you'll have only one idea in mind: to run towards your holiday resort. A good shower, a welcome ti-punch and off to bed.
Relaxation and preparation
Wake up to sunrise at 6 pm. After a night's sleep, you'll be in full shape: enjoy the pleasure of tropical well-being. The sky is blue with strong luminosity. We suggest you enjoy the hotel (relax, swimming pool, beach) and take your bearings in order to organize your week.
Côte sous le vent - day 1
Steps: Les Anses D'Arlet
You are starting to get used to the time difference. Take advantage of it to leave early in the morning to discover the west coast nicknamed "sous le vent" (meaning "leeward"). Go up the south Caribbean coast, stop at the village of Anses d'Arlet for breakfast. Then head to Fort-de-France for an afternoon of shopping in the picturesque market of the capital, before heading to the beach of Anse Madame to admire the sunset.
Côte sous le vent - day 2
Steps: Morne-Rouge
Head north to Le Prêcheur. Visit the botanical garden of Balata and have lunch on the beach of Carbet. In the afternoon, stop in Saint-Pierre, then leave by the road to Morne-Rouge via the rainforest of La Trace, which descends towards Fort-de-France. Simply grandiose.

Côte au vent - day 1
Steps: Tartane
Start with Le Vauclin, an adorable village of authentic fishermen. Continue to Le François (essential stop to observe the elegant Habitation Clément) then Le Robert and the Caravelle peninsula. Eat at Mamy Nounou's in Tartane and then head for the North Atlantic. In Sainte-Marie, visit the cemetery, the Rum Museum or the Banana Museum.

Côte au vent - day 2
Steps: Morne-Des-Esses
Visit Marigot, Le Lorrain, then Macouba, where you will discover the J.M. Distillery in the morning. In the afternoon, head for Grand-Rivière and its cliffs with the scent of the end of the world, with Dominica in the distance. Treat yourself here to a good coconut ice cream before turning back. After Le Lorrain, take the road to Morne-des-Esses and Saint-Joseph to finish the day. Return to where you are staying.

A day at the "fonds blancs" (white sea bottoms)
Steps: Le Robert
Head east for a day at the "fonds blancs" (white sea bottoms). It's all in the name: they are sandy and shallow bottoms located all along the Atlantic coast between Le Robert and Cap-Chevalier. Leaving Martinique without having had a drink (preferably rum) while sitting in the water and far from the coast would be a waste! Many companies organize this kind of excursion: departure in the morning around 9am, discovery of the islets, comments on the vegetation, swimming stop and rum baptism at the famous "fonds blancs", lunch, then back at the end of the afternoon.
4×4 Excursion
Thanks to the topography and climate of the island, many service providers organize 4×4 rides. It is a rather original way to explore the island, and generally speaking, this activity is popular. Two circuits and two very different concepts are suggested: the North or the South. For authenticity and the tropical forest, prefer the North.
Outdoor activities- 1
Steps: Le Robert
You can devote the next two days to sport: scuba diving (1/2 day), sea scooter rides (1/2 day) or canoeing near Le Robert, Le François, Trois-Îlets or Cap-Chevalier, but also windsurfing at Cap-Chevalier, tourist flights by plane or helicopter, canyoning... The possibilities are endless.
Outdoor activities - 2
Second active day. Indulge in the activity of your choice. The more contemplative will prefer a nice day of lazing around on the beach.
Day at sea: South coast or St Lucia
Steps: Les Trois-Îlets
Travel by day charter, a trip at sea on board a boat, often "maxi-catamarans". Departures from Les Trois-Îlets, Le Marin or Sainte-Anne. The most classic circuit is the south Caribbean coast and for sea lovers, the day trip to Saint Lucia (English-speaking island located in the south). Departure around 9am and return at sunset. Lunch on board, swimming stops with the possibility of snorkeling.
