At 29 years old, Simon Billy won the World Cup in speed skiing in Sweden and became the fastest man in the world in his discipline! With times of 171.47km/h, 173.22km/h and 178.69km/h, he won all the speed skiing events. This success is well deserved for this Varsinc who trains regularly on the KL track and the slopes of Vars. The sportsman says that the World Cup in Idre Fjäll was a real challenge: the slopes were very different from those in the Hautes-Alpes. Son of the champion Philippe Billy who was the first to have exceeded 230 km/h in Vars in 1996, he brilliantly follows in his father's footsteps. He confided via his social networks: "I share the crystal globe with my team, my father and my brother Louis Billy who follow me and accompany me daily in this fantastic human adventure. "It's a childhood dream come true for Simon Billy who won this major title. No doubt the first of many for his career!
