Travel Guide Casablanca
A coastal, port and commercial city of four million inhabitants through which more than half of the country's goods pass, Casablanca is a dynamic and modern metropolis looking to the future. As the economic capital and first Moroccan financial centre, it attracts investors from all over the world, so that the major hotel chains and other luxury brands continue to flourish in the city, almost supplanting its breathtaking architectural heritage. The Casablanca tourist guide honours the richness of the stones, from the Art Deco villas dating back to the time of the French protectorate to the alleys of the old medina - a real central market - which lives at a rate that is not urban. Under the arcades of the Habous or in the heart of the souk of the new medina, built 100 years ago, the visitor comes to hunt for some handicrafts from the Maghreb while trying the delicate art of negotiation, then he will head to the kissaria of Derb Sultan to take the pulse of the city before pushing the door of a few clubs in the Corniche, a waterfront district loved by night owls. If the city's experience is challenging, you will find yourself on the coast: the beaches of Dar Bouazza and their fish restaurants, or the ancient Portuguese cities of the Doukkala Country are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. Welcome to the White City, a unique destination, with mint tea, palm groves, kasbah and Moroccan culture!
