Day 1: Houston
Steps: Houston
Arrival in Houston. Those arriving early in the day will take time to relax in one of the city's great green lungs, such as Memorial or Hermann parks. Evening in Downtown or Montrose.
Day 2: Museum District and NASA
Steps: Houston, Corpus Christi, Clear Lake City
Tour of Houston and its Museum District. Late morning departure for the Nasa Space Center, south of the city.
Day 3: Galveston
To recover from the trip, the time zone change and the urban vastness of Houston, depart from Galveston to visit its aquarium and smell the air of a not so far past where this city was the largest port in Texas.

Day 4: Direction Padre Island National Seashore

Take the southern route along the coast to Padre Island National Seashore.

Day 5: Farniente on island beaches

Day 6: Heading to San Antonio

Day 8: Hill Country

First approach to the Hill Country between San Antonio and Austin. On the way back to the capital, stop off in Gruene for the oldest dancehall in Texas, then in San Marcos for a shopping spree in theOutlet Village. Recover in Lockhart, the barbecue capital of Texas, before reaching Austin at the end of the day.
Day 9: Austin, the wacky capital

DiscoverAustin and its neighborhoods, if possible on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. An unforgettable evening on the streets of downtown to enjoy a concert and the surrounding extravagance.
Day 10: Austin
Take a stroll through the lively downtown neighborhoods or the more convivial East Austin or South of Congress.
Day 11: Fredericksburg
Steps: Fredericksburg
Morning departure for Fredericksburg, the heart of the Hill Country. Discover its crafts and wines. On the way, don't forget to stop in Luckenbach to listen to some country music and picking under the old oak trees.
Day 12: Hill Country and Enchanted Rock

Discovery of small towns in the region as Comfort and short hike in Enchanted Rock park.
ENCHANTED ROCK STATE NATURAL AREA
Day 13: Life as a rancher

Join Bandera to try your hand at life as a rancher. Discover ranch activities, lasso exercises, horseback rides... Evening at a local bar with local cowboys and ranchers.
Day 14: Ranch at Bandera
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the ranch before you start a horse ride!
Day 15: Great West and Lake Amistad
Departure for the Great West via Del Rio and Lake Amistad. Overnight in Marathon, gateway to Big Bend National Park and a village of starry skies.
Day 16: Arrival at Big Bend National Park
Steps: Big Bend National Park
The morning is devoted to obtaining permits for Big Bend National Park and getting ready. In the afternoon, explore the surrounding area and plan your hike for the next day and the day after that. Overnight in Marathon.
Day 17: Hiking in Big Bend
Depending on the trail you choose, you'll discover desert, mountains and, of course, the Rio Grande. Overnight camping.
Day 18: Hiking in Big Bend
Steps: Marathon
After and end of the hike, then return to Marathon for a restful evening.
Day 19: Ghost towns and mysterious lights
Steps: Marfa, Lajitas, Terlingua
Leave Big Bend National Park to the west, with the ghost towns of Terlingua and Lajitas. Don't miss Route 170 along the meandering Rio Grande. Arrive in Marfa at the end of the day to see the mysterious lights of the town.
Day 20: Marfa, Texan UFO
Steps: Marfa
Discovery of Marfa and its contemporary art centres. Enjoy the relaxed and unique atmosphere of the city and its surroundings.
Day 21: Alpine and Fort Davis
Steps: Fort Davis, Alpine
Discovery of the beautiful Alpine towns and Fort Davis. On Saturday evening, don't miss the McDonald National Observatory Star Party. Impressive guided tour of the Milky Way.

Day 22: Bienvenido a El Paso!
Steps: El Paso
Road to the westernmost tip of the state and discovery of El Paso.
Day 23: Guadalupe Mountains
Steps: Amarillo, Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Visit of the National Park of Guadalupe Mountains and departure for Amarillo. Crossing the Texas agricultural and oil plains.
Day 24: Amarillo
Steps: Amarillo
Visit of the Cadillac Ranch and the neighbourhood along the Route 66, then evening at the Big Texan Steak Ranch.
CADILLAC RANCH
Day 25: Palo Duro Canyon and Fort Worth
Steps: Fort Worth, Palo Duro Canyon, Canyon
Morning at the cattle market, followed by a hike through Palo Duro Canyon. Drive to Fort Worth via the magnificent Route 207. Evening in Fort Worth's Downtown or Stockyards districts.
FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS NATIONAL HISTORIC DISTRICT
Day 26: Fort Worth Arts District and Stockyards
Steps: Fort Worth
Visit the Arts District's fabulous museums, including the Kimbell Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Evening in Downtown or the Stockyards, depending on your choice the previous evening.
Day 27: Dallas
Steps: Dallas
Departure for Dallas. Visit museums including the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the 6th Floor Museum. Spend an evening in the chic Highland Village district, watching the Dallas success story unfold.

Day 28: Jefferson and its bayou
Steps: Jefferson
Departure to Jefferson, discovery of the Bayou of Caddo Lake. Evening in the pretty town close to Louisiana.

Day 29: Return road to Houston
Steps: Houston, Big Thicket National Preserve
The return trip to Houston by Big Thicket National Preserve takes one day. Departure for France scheduled the following day.
